Can I finally call myself an Award Winning Author?

A while back, I was nominated to enter a writing competition on Wattpad. I’m not big on entering competitions. Too many times I’ve entered and heard nothing back from then on. This time, as it had been recommended to me, I entered my novel Astronomicon: Icarus and assumed that I would most probably never hear any more.

For the first time ever, I did hear something afterwards. Better still, much better, I was informed that I had actually won the competition. Now it’s not a massive competition and there’s no cash prize, but I am still thrilled to be recognised in any writing competition.

If nothing else, I will feel much more inclined to enter more competitions in future.

Astronomicon: The Beginning FREE #scifi on Wattpad

Astronomicon: The Beginning cover 3DHaving launched a new edition of Astronomicon: The Beginning on Amazon a few weeks ago, I am pleased to announce that the re-edited and longer version is now available on Wattpad too. It features all the same improvements: updated descriptions, improved dialogue, latest proofreading, fleshed-out characters and more up-to-date terminology (the original was written 20+ years ago!).

Now I’m free to focus my writing efforts on Behemoth. With a little luck, I’ll have that complete within two weeks. If so, five weeks later, after they have appeared on the RadishFiction app, the final chapters will be appearing on Wattpad.  My next planned project is Astronomicon 4, but that’s going to take a while to write.

I would still love to write full time. It would allow me to produce two to three novels per year but for now, I have to fit writing in around work and family, so you’ll all have to wait! I am working as fast as I can but available time is very limited.

Anyway, if you haven’t already read Astronomicon: The Beginning on the Wattpad’s website or their massively popular mobile app, here’s the link:  Astronomicon on Wattpad.

Astronomicon #1 now available in Paperback

Astronomicon: The Beginning cover 3DFans of books in traditional paperback form will be pleased with this announcement:

After an extensive edit and repolish, Astronomicon: The Beginning is now available in paperback form. I know that e-books are not to everyone’s taste and many people prefer reading novels in a traditional, more tangible form.

At 330 pages, The Beginning is a substantial piece of science fiction. Although it appears to be shorter than the e-book edition (385 pages) this is purely due to variations in formatting between the two media. The content of both versions is identical.

I’m aiming to get at least one more Astronomicon novel out in paperback form before the end of 2018. Ultimately, all my novels will be available in both formats but that’s going to take a lot of work.

The paperback version is available from Amazon US ($9.99), Amazon UK (£7.95) and all other Amazon sites. Visit your local Amazon for full details and order your copy now.
